Homosexuality and the Church

So recently, I saw a picture of a man that proposed to his gay partner in church. A METHODIST CHURCH!

Poor John and Charles Wesley but that is just by the way.

I’ll like to start by saying I know this is a sore topic and  I am not here to judge but since I am entitled to an opinion, I will give an opinion based on God’s word.

It is bad enough to be  homosexual, but to be homosexual and flaunt it among God’s people, really that’s just sad.

Hey, hold your horses! like I said above, I am not being judgmental, homosexuality is like any other sin. it is like fornication, adultery, stealing or lying but you don’t see people fornicating, being drunk or committing adultery and being supported openly.( At least most of us agree that those are wrong)

However,

1 Corinthians 6:9-10(NKJV)

9 Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites,

10 nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

11 And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God.
One sad thing about that photograph was  the men in question had been “choir members” for about two years.
I wonder what spirit was being used to enter God’s presence and that is in the event that God’s presence was being entered into.

At this point, I’d like to say that if you’ve been in a church for two years and your life is not changing and you are not  growing spiritually, besides your quite time.  IT IS TIME  TO PRAYERFULLY MOVE!

John 15:1-2 (NKJV)

“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vine dresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit”.

Lastly, the congregation of that church stood up to applaud and be “supportive” of the evil.

Someone said sin is a slap on God’s face because it goes against everything God.God is HOLY!

Yes, I love homosexuals because Jesus came to die for them and they are really not the worst sinners( I wonder what that means, because sin is sin)

However, you cannot be a follower of Jesus and not stand against evil in the name of being supportive.

Would you be supportive of a murderer? Murder is sin too

God destroyed a whole community in the Old testament because of this sin and in the New testament,

The bible repeats a warning against it

Romans 1:26-28 (NKJV)

26 For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature.
27 Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting;

God loves you very much, whether you are straight or not. but He would not condone sin.

HIS STANDARD WOULD BE LOWERED FOR NOBODY.

God loves you and He came to die for you! To make you a better person! To make you perfect!

Receive Him.

I’ll leave you with these words from the Precious Book

1 Peter 4:17-19(NKJV)

For the time has come for judgment to begin at the house of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the end of those who do not obey the gospel of God? 18 Now

“If the righteous one is scarcely saved,
Where will the ungodly and the sinner appear?

19 Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.
