Living on planet earth is not very sustainable( Root word: sustain; the ability to endure or stand the test of time) but society/the media teaches us that sustainability is possible with funding and the help of science in some cases.
Well, I disagree and here’s why.
In as much as science and money can help preserve a person, are these means really sustainable?
Basically, humanity needs Jesus!
The way a creation cannot survive without it’s creator to sustain and maintain it, is the same way that without Jesus, the human race cannot really sustain itself.
Yes, I am saying you cannot live satisfactorily in this life without JESUS!
It’s not enough to be good. Then again, nobody is really good. I mean, who taught you to lie, or be dishonest sometimes.. Society?? Really? How did society know to be dishonest then?
Here’s what the bible has to say,
Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity,
And in sin my mother conceived me. Psalm 51:5 (NKJV)
“So Jesus said to him, “Why do you call Me good? No one is good but One, that is, God”. Mark 10:18 NKJV
Yesterday I saw a video of a rap artist who made lots of sense about life, relationships, love among other issues. I thought and still think he’s work is pretty cool however, it was disappointing to find out he doesn’t know the saviour of the world. Like you, he probably believes “The saviour” of the world doesn’t exist.
See, no matter, how good you think you are, you do need THE saviour. In fact to think that you are good is already a sign that you need THE SAVIOUR! The one who is able to sustain and hold you through life.
Life is difficult enough, stop trying to save yourself, JESUS ALREADY DID!
Someone said religion separates humanity and I agree.
Thankfully, a relationship with Jesus isn’t a religion.
It’s a relationship. It’s a journey to become good, like the Father in Heaven.
Your “goodness” is unsustainable without Jesus.
“Indeed, a quick glance around this broken world makes it painfully obvious that we don’t need more arguments on behalf of God; we need more people who live as if they are in covenant with Unconditional Love, which is our best definition of God. (p. 21)”
