Is That a Good Choice?

In 2013, just before one of my contracts ended, I was speaking to one of my mentors who encouraged me to make good choices and that stuck with me. Her words began as  “Are you making good choices?”

Now you probably don’t need me to tell you that your choice can either make or mar you. But I’ll still ask you,  “what type of choices are you making”?

Are your choices based on how you feel or what God is saying to? Are you really going to court that guy because you really want to get married, because you think he is cute (which will eventually fade), has money or because God has told you to? How about the Job? Are you going to take it because it is the only job available or because God has told you to?

You need to know what God is saying concerning your life and walk according to His word. You cannot afford to make decisions based on what people are saying about you or how you feel. What has God said to you dear?

“and whenever you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear this command behind you: “This is the way. Walk in it.”– Isaiah 30:31 (HCSB)

“Hey Favour, does God speak? How do I know He has spoken?”

He speaks and primarily through His word. How is your relationship with Him?

This book of instruction must not depart from your mouth; you are to recite it day and night so that you may carefully observe everything written in it. For then you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do. Joshua 1:8 (HCSB)

Do you talk to Him once a week (when you go to church) or is it on a daily basis as you would talk to your lover.

God wants intimacy with you and it can only grow, just like any other relationship as you communicate with Him.

You need to work on your relationship with Him, listen to Him and good choices are guaranteed.

because :  We know that all things work together  for the good of those who love God: those who are called according to His purpose – Romans 8:28 (HCSB)

You  need to get to know God through Hs son Jesus! On your own and by  doing good, you are incapable of knowing the Creator. It is only through Jesus christ.

You are highly loved and longed for,

Favour 🙂
