Religion and Relationship:Two opposite ends

Religion has not taken anyone beyond earth, cannot and will not take anyone anywhere. It is a personal relationship that strengthens one’s life here on earth and when you exit your body. A relationship with your maker is the key to holistic sucess here and beyond. Being a christian without knowing Jesus personally changes nothing. The Bible says that knowing God is only through Jesus(John 14:6). Therefore being of a different faith without a personal relationship with Jesus is a waste of time and energy.

¢

In my own life, when I became religious nothing changed. I just became a lying church goer. I was a church goer who gossiped. I was same old. But a personal relationship comes with loads of changes. Now I cannot make a commitment without fulfilling it because the Holy Spirit will keep reminding me till I do it. I cannot tell a lie without being convicted because my conscience is alive to God.

¢

Does He know you? When He wants to talk, does He come find you? Do you talk to Him? Do you share random jokes with Him? Does He scold you like a Father will scold a child? That’s friendship, that’s relationship.
You need to know this Jesus not just for yourself but for generations after you. He loves you.
