When it feels like God does not exist

‘God does not exist’ I heard these words everyday in my head for nearly two weeks in 2015. It was ridiculous, I felt like I was running mad. Now having lived in the west at this time, I was well aware of the atheistic philosophy and it was disturbing that I would be plagued and attacked by a thought that was inconsistent with my beliefs and values just because I was trusting Him for something.

Sometimes when we ask God for things and it seems like our request is not being granted, we begin to feel discouraged and give into the lie that God has forgotten us or that He does not exist. Hear this now, God cannot forget you and He is real!

Imagine if Jesus felt abandoned and forgotten in the garden of Gethsemane when He was asking the Lord for the cup to pass over Him. (Mark 14:42-72) Imagine if He abandoned his mission because He felt discouraged? There would be no redemption for mankind today.. See, God cannot forget you and He has not forgetten you. You need to hold on tight. He is working everything out for your good.

“Can a woman forget her nursing child And have no compassion on the son of her womb? Even these may forget, but I will not you.
ISAIAH 49:15
